Birthday Presents : )

Alma has had such a fun week playing with all her new toys. We aren't having her birthday party for a few weeks but let her open everything she got in the mail and we gave her a bike. We haven't been able to get her off of it since Matt put it together.

Alma got an adorable bowling set from Nanna and Pappa. She loves the animal pins!

 

Aunt Staci spoiled Ms. Alma rotten with her goody package. She loved both of the books.

I can't wait to get her in the water with this. She is going to love it. We blew it up for her so she could see what it was and she sat in it and played forever. 

She loved the horse as soon as she saw it (Staci this is so cute). 

The blanket and the lovies were a huge hit. As soon as I put the blanket on the floor for her to see it she laid down on it. She carries the lovies around (and for some reason keeps putting them on her head!).

Funny enough though with all the fun new things she has to play with, she may have had more fun with the boxes and wrapping paper. We eventually had to take away the box the bike came in because she was going to hurt herself.

 

Mom and Dad thank you so much for the bowling game and Staci thank you, we loved everything. The blanket is on her bed and she loves looking at the animals. Its perfect. 

Also thank you to the Schmidt's for their B'day card. We look forward to taking Alma shopping.

A year ago today

We became parents to Alma Schmidt. Happy Birthday baby girl. We love you so much.

And we are still sick....

I haven't really had a chance to post much since we have all been fighting yet another round of sickness. I went to D.C. for a business trip and when I returned Alma had a very scary fever with sore throat, runny nose and cough. Matt and I currently have it. We are hoping this is it for a while. Because of all the sickness we haven't had a chance to get out and do very much but here are a few picture from around the house.

Hello March

Things have been kind of crazy around here hence the lack of blog posts. In the last few weeks we have all had a stomach virus (some of us twice). I had a two day interview with the University of Hawaii for a tenure track position. Matt has been working super long weeks as he learns his new position and is trying to find his teaching groove again. Alma has also been super busy. She cut a second tooth, runs (not walks) everywhere, imitates everything we do, and has learned the power of the word "hi".

Not much else to report. We are getting ready to celebrate my baby girls first birthday in a few weeks. And also getting ready for our first visitors. Can't wait to see Mom, Dad, and Amanda in April. Here are some pictures of Ms. Alma to hold you over : )
