Toddler Time at the Children's Discovery Center

Its Winter break and Matt and I have some extra time over the next few weeks so we decided to sign Alma up for Toddle Time at the Children's Discovery Center in Honolulu. Its a class for young children 18-36 months. Its been really fun to see her in a classroom setting working with other kids.

Day One:
The first day Alma was really unsure of what to do and tested some boundaries.

But she quickly caught on and is joining in with all the other kids.

We have been doing lots of crafts since the theme of the class is "Big Art". Alma loves getting messy!

Day Two:
We got to decorate a Christmas tree, dance to music, color, read books, and play with a parachute (Alma's favorite!).

We ended the day with bubbles and more dancing.

We have two more days of Toddle Time so stay tuned for more fun pictures.

Christmas Tree

We are so happy to have a Christmas tree this year. Last year, since we had just arrived on Oahu we didn't have one. Alma is in love with everything about the tree, the lights, the ornaments, the angel. Every morning when we wake up (yes we get up before the sun) we turn on the lights and she just stands there saying "wow" for a few minutes. Its almost worth getting up at 5am for. Here are some pictures of us putting up the tree with Alma "helping".

November 2012

November was a fun month. We celebrated two birthdays and thanksgiving. Plus we had lots of fun with Auntie Amanda.

The neighbors had a party for Matt's birthday.

Alma is getting more and more independent. Still working on our eating skills, but she's getting there.

She absolutely loves to help Mommy in the kitchen. We have a blast!

Hanging out in Auntie's room is one of her favorite things to do (so she can get into Aunties stuff!)

Halloween 2012

Alma was the cutest bubble bee ever! She didn't really like her costume (too itchy) and keeping the hat on was nearly impossible, but overall she was a good sport.

For Halloween, we mostly just hung out with our neighbors in the courtyard and checked out everyone's costumes.

Alma wasn't as into Maya's costume as Maya was into hers

Uncle Dwayne worked really hard to make his condo super scary. The babies loved all the decorations.   We'll see if that holds true next year when they are old enough to be scared.

It was an almost perfect Halloween...just wish Matt was here too.
